Hi, my name is Kat Holgate and I appreciate you coming on to my site to learn more about me.  I live in Devon in the UK with my husband Chris and two amazing and “full of life” boys,  Jake and Oliver .  Finding work to fit around the two of them became my mission just over a year ago. My life’s journey has been interesting and challenging over the years, and I would like to share it with you, along with my latest passion of network marketing, with my own business working from my own home.

Accessing after school childcare was not a possibility for me, as my eldest son Jake has special needs, so I just couldn’t go back to the career that I had before, and I knew juggling the boys and a stressful career would be sure to send me over the edge….. Initially my only option seemed to be a part time JOB in either a shop or a school – uuurgh.  Neither filled me with delight, in fact, I would say more of a feeling of DREAD.  I didn’t want to work for very little money, doing something I didn’t want to do, for someone else – I wanted to earn lots of money, doing something I love, working for MYSELF.  Was that too much to ask? I went into research mode – and boy did I do research.  I submerged myself in Books, CD’s, DVD’s, courses, spent heaps of time online, too nervous to take the leap forward and commit to anything.

I have learnt so much from my children over the years, all of it has been incredibly valuable.  Not only have they taught me unconditional love, patience and the total necessity for a sense of humour at all costs – but also IMAGINATION.

Their minds are open to what they want to be…..Cowboys and Indians?  Batman and Robin????   Knights of the realm????

In life you get so many choices….opportunities…..pathways, we are always fearful of making the wrong decision, so we put limits on ourselves, it is what we are taught from a young age, and so by the time we grow into adults we have lost our IMAGINATION, our ability to be what we want to be, and our confidence to believe in our abilities.  We take the safe route and very often spend our lives exchanging our TIME for MONEY, not fulfilling our ambitions and desires as we think we can’t, we ‘re going to fail, so we stick with a JOB.  That is, until we discover how we can achieve Financial Freedom.

You Need Leverage…..

One of the most powerful concepts that I have learnt from the top mentors and all the research I went through before I started out was that to create financial freedom in my life I was going to require leverage.  But what is leverage? If you look it up in a dictionary it translates into power, influence, control, weight, force, but relating it to time and money it is doing more and more with less and less.
Less of what? Less time, less effort, less energy, less worry, less investment
More of what? More income, more results, more value, more free time
Basically working smarter not harder – that is the answer - using a system that automates the hard work, is exactly how you can achieve a substantial income online, plus have the time to spend it.

The Right MINDSET

I am defitinitely a glass half full type of person, and live my life with a positive attitude, a very happy outlook and real determination.  One of my biggest challenges was when my eldest son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3.  After picking myself up off the ground from the shock, I went into research mode to find out how to give him the best opportunities in life, and decided to train as an ABA therapist.  This required a huge amount of dedication and still does, but has changed all of our lives completely, and has given us an amazing bond as a family.
I think it is hugely important to work on mindset and attitude everyday – each individual will find something different that works for them – for me it is visualisation.  When I was first introduced to “The Secret” I was amazed at how much control your mind and your attitude can have over your success – I started using the techniques suggested and have never looked back.  If you haven’t yet come across “The Secret” then I have put in the first 20 minutes in my Free Gifts section, which is really worth a watch.  I think BELIEF is key to anyone wanting success in any area of life, whether it’s making money, being a successful sports person, finding your perfect relationship etc – YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IT WILL HAPPEN, SEE IT HAPPENING IN YOUR MIND and NEVER GIVE UP!

More about my story…….

I am very fortunate to have two fantastic sons, Jake and Oliver, not to mention my brilliant husband Chris and they in themselves were enough for me to DESIRE FREEDOM.  I had a very successful career in Management, Recruitment and Training before I had the boys, achieved purely from extremely hard graft as I started in the industry with no specific qualifications or degree.  I worked 70+ hours per week, breakfast meetings, on call at weekends, my job was my life and I thought at that stage it was everything I wanted.

I left my job when Jake was born as felt it was my time to dedicate myself to my family.  We moved to Perth in Australia as Chris was born over there and has duel nationality – we met backpacking over 15 years ago and always had a dream to go back over there to live.  It was a fantastic new adventure to add to our lives – and we loved it.  Amazing weather, some brilliant new friends, and a beautiful home, and a new son Oliver- but one thing was missing – OUR FAMILIES.  We hadn’t considered quiet how much we would miss them, and also what it would be like for the boys growing up.

Within 12 months of arriving, our world was turned upside down, as we lost Chris’ sister to cancer and Jake was diagnosed with autism, it certainly took the shine off our new and wonderful life!!!! We found a home therapy programme for Jake, and I threw myself into training to be a therapist and the determination to give Jake the best possible opportunities in life carried us through.  I was asked by the company who ran the home programme to work with them promoting and demonstrating the programme to other parents.  I was so keen to show other parents what could be achieved, and spent a lot of time mentoring others in my situation, which gave me a huge amount of satisfaction and reward.

We decide to return home at the end of 2007 and bring the boys up in the UK, so after considering jobs, school and the distance to our families we chose a small town Devon.  We settled back into life well, we were surviving on a single wage, managing to pay the bills but not much else.  Once Oliver started full time school, it was time to re think the next stage of our lives.

The decision to start a business from home was an easy one for me.  I knew that I had the self motivation to make it work, but my underlying problem was WHAT?  I can’t begin to tell you how may hours I spent searching, reading books, watching DVD’s and ordering new business kits to check out, but to be honest nothing seemed to grab me.  I was very often skeptical or untrustworthy of the inviter or the opportunity didn’t look to have enough support, I just never took the action to follow through and made the life changing decision that I was desperately after.

I have spent the past 12 months as a successful online marketer.  I have now joined Mila Lifemax and my knowledge and skills in internet marketing are being used and duplicated throughout my team members to allow them to achieve their goals. Although I am available to mentor and support all my team members and being part of a successful team really does encourage you aim higher and higher, and it is fantastic to work with so many people all over the world, all in control of their financial and time freedom.
